Bush) in destroying the Party of Reagan in favor of some limp wristed 'all-inclusive' 'Rat-lite Party which lacks any and all principles, standards or core beliefs. For ANYONE to call J.D. I supported Bush in 2000. I now regret not supporting John McCain. McCain would not have spent money the way Bush did and he would fought the Iraq war better, in that it was McCain who was blasting Bush about needing more troops. Ended up that Bush took his advise and did in fact agree to a surge.

Other than those two things, there was not much differance between Bush and McCain.
McCain just has never been shy about spouting what he thinks, even if it is to blast Republicans.

McCain would not have increased the size and scope of government the way Bush did.
