This was somewhat discussed on FR a few weeks ago.
A lot hinges on whether JD Hayworth does in fact challenge
McCain. I know ALL conservatives in AZ would likely vote for Hayworth over McCain. My assumption a few weeks ago was that the MSM , and probably even Cable will find a way to ask her, strictly in order to be to play it and twist it to whatever their agenda is at the moment:create animosity with McCain, or hamper the chances of Hayworth (for what IT’S worth) if it comes to that. My thought was that , while I KNOW her endorsement/support of McCain would “help”
him , FOR THE SECOND TIME, there may be a mutual decision and agreement by both of them to be satisfied with a statement from her like, “John McCain is a great candidate on his own, and he
really doesn’t need an endorsement from me to win again.”
If Hayworth comes on strong and starts gaining popularity as the “real” Conservative (not hard when you’re facing McCain) he may well win on his own, but at that point Palin’s support of McCain wouldn’t hurt her short or long run/ Most people would just consider it natural payback for J McC’s introducing her to the American public, however poorly it worked out. I can’t see a scenario where Palin would EVER support Hayworth and speak against McCain, even implicitly.

“A lot hinges on whether JD Hayworth does in fact challenge.”

Are you familiar with JD’s support of Indian Tribes and how much money he took from them?
