Dr Ang'awa had worked in Embu, Kiambu, Kilifi, Mombasa, Kakamega and Bungoma and was one of the best known members of the medical profession in the country.

Her father was brutally killed when she was a teenager more than 40 years ago, but Lady Justice Mary Ang'awa has opted to forgive his killer. During her reflection at a recent meeting to plan the 40th anniversary of the death of her father, she had no qualms about offering a pardon. "I have forgiven you," she says is the message she has for the killer of Dr James Ang'awa.

One of the pioneer medical specialists in the country, Dr Ang'awa was hit on the head with a blunt object on Tom Mboya Street by an unknown assailant.

A police inquest cleared a suspect who had been arrested although Justice Ang'awa is not convinced the decision was the right one. "My father died a painful death. Investigations and inquests were concluded. I and my brothers--Antony, Hillary, Charles and William-- have climbed a steep path to success with the guidance of our mother Perez. So the best thing to do is to forgive the killer," she told the Sunday Nation.

At the time of her father's death, Justice Ang'awa was a Form One student at Limuru Girls' high school. Her family enjoyed a comfortable life; her father was establishing a reputation for his research into treatment of tuberculosis.

The family lived in high-class government quarters in Upper Hill. Among their neighbours were Dr Njoroge Mungai, former President Kenyatta's personal physician, President Kibaki, who was then minister for Finance and the late Barack Obama Sr, father of American President Barack Obama.

The family was evicted from the house three months after Dr Ang'awa's death.

So she does admit she was present when the was born. Then the translators and the others in the family who realize she has just spilled the beans start to panic and - sounds distressed.

Your linked document also makes no attempt to translate what Ms Obama is actually saying. WND played the tape tow Luo tribe mebers fluent in the local dialect. Their conclusion was Sarh Obama said he was born in Mombassa and she was present at the birth.

I'll even tell you you're next move. Get someone who speaks Swahili to listen to Mama Sarah and ask them what she says. Then put it on the internet and come back and post a link to it.

Personally, I don’t think the newspaper announcement will fall; i.e that it was put there by O’s handlers.

I never given it any weight to support Obama being born in Hawaii or a NBC as the anti-Birthers do. In reality, it means nothing.

I think it was put in the paper by Grandma when she learned of his birth. Many people, even today, for home births, out of country birth, even out of state births, will pay to have an announcement put into the paper announcing their child/grandchild etc. Nothing unusual about this practice.

Now, what would be interesting to find, if it is still around, would be to find a receipt or the original form given to one of the papers from Toot’s re: the announcement.

I would though like to know what connection there was to Stanley and the address given in the announcement.

Could it be Toots and Grandpa were planning on renting the small bungalo at that address for Stanley and Obama(s) when they returned to the states, only to have the plans fall apart later?

Did she use the address of a friend as to not use her own (embarrassed about her daughter perhaps)?

For me at least, the address is the only questionable part.

The idea that the newspaper announcements were 'planted' is just stupid.

The birth announcements exist in the papers. I have personally verified this by viewing microfilm of the Honolulu Advertiser. Lucas has the results posted on his YouTube site. We also verified the Nordyke announcement (I think it was in the Aug 16 edition).

No informed person should be questioning the existence of the birth announcements.

Whether or not a birth announcement could be submitted by a grandparent or something is the question that needs to be answered.

I meant to expand on my labelling the idea of a planted newspaper announcement as 'stupid'. It suggests a planned conspiracy since his birth.

I don't allege that, and not too many that I converse with about the subject believe that.

Claiming a Hawaiian birth and US citizenship would more likely be a matter of convenience and benefit if it was expected he would largely be raised and live in the US.
