Good post. Preserving and strengthening the party is what’s important here. We can’t afford to be seen discarding John McCain. Sarah Palin can’t afford it either.

We can’t afford to be seen discarding John McCain.

If we don't politically discard those who have discarded the Constitution, we shouldn't be surprised when we have no country left.

And John Judas McCain definitely discarded what really matters long ago.

Loyalty to an individual or a personality should not trump loyalty to this country, its people, or its fundamental principles.

Well, that’s what you’re going to see.

“We can’t afford to be seen discarding John McCain”

Who is WE? McCain is no conservative, he can’t even bring himself to support the RNC platform. He votes with the dems as often as the conservatives. He’s screwed up everything he touches...CFR, amnesty, cap& trade and on and on.

WE need some integrity and getting rid of John McCain is a good start. He’s doing more harm to Palin than the left is.

I think we and she both need to politely step to the side—and move on.

>> Preserving and strengthening the party is what’s important here. We can’t afford to be seen discarding John McCain. Sarah Palin can’t afford it either. <<

Why not? Where was party unity when McCain teased about joining the Democrat party ? When he muzzled free speech? When he gave a $100 billion bailout to the lawyers through his cigarette deals? When he and Teddy wanted to give amnesty to 30 million invaders? Where’s party unity when McCain tries to get the Obama administration to silence their critics?

Or does party unity mean we have to blindly accept whoever our masters thrust upon us? Which party are we talking about?

Why can we not be seen as discarding McCain? That is why we vote.

Is this a good reason why Arizona voters must vote for McCain?

Disagree, we cannot afford to KEEP McCain. He needs dumping, the sooner the better. Sarah does not need to be dumped, however. She is our best chance at regaining our freedoms in this country.

Are you out of your mind?

McCain spent the better part of the last ten years attacking conservative Republicans, and you want to let him stay? Better yet, you want to kiss his arse and pretend he (and by extension, his radical progressive agenda of appeasement) actually matters?

Sh*t. And Palin just wrote an op-ed for the Ariz. Repugnant praising him for his bipartisan treachery.

Talk about battered wife syndrome.

Preserving and strengthening the party is what’s important here

Bullcrap. Preserving Conservatism and the American Way is what is important here, and has always been the ONLY important thing. "Party" means *nothing* without conviction.

Preserving and strengthening the party is what’s important here

That is simply the most idiotic statement I have ever heard. Some folks have the memory of a block of cheese.

I totally disagree. We can’t afford to keep RINOs anymore. They have brought us to this point.

Preserving and strengthening the party is Michael Steele's job, and he should be fired for his lack of leadership.

We can’t afford to be seen discarding John McCain.

Why not?  He brings nothing of value to the Conservative movement.  Given a chance, he'll stab the movement in the back if he thought it would win him a dinner date with Wolf Blitzer.

Sarah Palin can’t afford it either.

She can't afford endorsing media whoring, attention thriving, opportunistic RINO's like McQueeg.
