I’m serious. They have some genuine business-minded entrepreneurs but they simply can’t start a business because of all the aid. Nobody can compete with free.

No “aid” if we don’t say how that money is spent. Even welfare cheats have to use their foodstamps in an approved manner (not for beer or cigarettes).
How does it help HAITI as a nation to help even more of its citizens FLEE a corrupt nation in need of serious restructuring?
His party had ignored the constitutional requirement of second-round elections for seats in the legislature that had no clear majority and simply seized power, dominating the legislature without legal backing.
The opposition parties demanded that the legislative elections be rectified before the presidential election was conducted.
The legislature went ahead anyway and conducted a presidential election with only one candidate, Aristide.
My second comment is that Aristide ruled with an iron fist from his April 2003 demand for reparations until February 2004 - when his government-backed gang Lavalas assassinated the leader of a rival gang, the Cannibales, and a civil war started.
The reparations demand was laughed at by the French government and had nothing to do with the civil war he started.

Anyone surprised that Rev. Wright championing a man who uses necklacing as political ‘speech’.
1. It isn't "do justice" it is "do justly," which means your actions must by directed by what is just. That does not mean try to correct the actions of others; it means govern your own actions.
2. Love mercy. Nothing done or said by this angry, hate-mongering racist bears the slightest resemblance to even a casual acquaintance with mercy, let alone a love for it.
3. Walk humbly with your God. No further comment is even necessary.
This guy is using religion as a prop for his personal paranoia. I don’t even know what religion he professes.
