Again - I’m not seeing any compelling evidence that this is a forgery. If someone posts some compelling evidence that can’t be handled with a simple, common-sense explanation, I’ll buy in.
I would have loved for this to be another Dan Rather, fake-but-accurate moment. But it’s not.
Also, just as a further comment on the different shading of the number “1”, look at the label in box 7e. Same scanning artifacts on several letters there. Would there have been a reason to doctor that label? I think not...
“Compelling” is subjective.
It has already been stated here and elsewhere that this COLB, as originally posted on the WH website, would not hold up in court.
