what I think of it is that”s life” The number of holidays I’ve had to work while raising my family are countless. If it’s part of the job stop the damn complaining an do it. Otherwise, the unions move in. Really, it’s a dumb post

Are you friggin kidding me?

Many people dont have a job at all!

So it is not ok to work at Wal Mart on Thanksgiving, but I assume it is ok to go help out and work at a soup kitchen all day...

Right, in the oil patch there are no weekends or holidays, day and night are the same, 24/7.

While most kids wished for a White Christmas, we prayed there wouldn't be snow.

Dad was a foreman on the AC Expressway.If we got even a few flakes, a state troopers would be calling my dad into work.

One year he went in on Christmas Eve afternoon, and he didn't get home until 7PM the next evening. He called us and insisted that we open our gifts. We waited.
