Good one.
Maybe three years ago, or so (could have been longer ago than that, I forget), Newt was on Rush Limbaugh's show advocating that Republicans, conservatives, Rush listeners, and, well ... everybody, support "Cap & Trade" legislation.
When confronted with the fact that Global Warming does not exist, Newt's response was something to the effect that EVEN IF there's no such thing as Global Warming, "we" should support "Cap & Trade" legislation so that "we" can be "in on" the drafting of the legislation, otherwise "they" will be the only ones writing the law.
If anyone can find Newt's actual quote from that appearance on Rush's show, I have a gold star to give you (I'd offer cash $$, but I have ammo to buy).
