Lolo Soetoro, a Colonel in the Indonesia Army under General Sukarno, adopted Barack Hussein Obama II (BHO II). BHO's II name was legally changed to Barry Soetoro.
Barry Soetoro, with his new dad and mom, moved to Indonesia to be a part of an Indonesian family; living, working and receiving an education with the all rightsand privileges a military officer and his family expected under the dictatorship of General Sukarno.
Since Barry was living in Indonesia and planned to live there permanently, he applied to the US Embassy for a Certificate of Loss of Nationality (CLN). Contraryto popular belief, if any American moves out of the country and sets up a household with a military officer of a foreign dictatorship, the US Secretary of State (US SoS) doesn't make it difficult to renounce your US Citizenship. Proof of Barry's Indonesian citizenship is in his 2nd grade school record.
BHO II returned to Hawaii as an Indonesian National in 1971 as an Unaccompanied Alien Minor. Instead of being whisked through Customs and running to the awaiting arms of his grandmother, Immigration and Customs Enforcement took Hussein intoprotective custody.
After several administrative and legal proceedings, Hussein was placed with his grandmother in Hawaii as his guardian while Catholic Social Services of Connecticut maintained legal custody.
It was Catholic Social Services of Connecticut that slowly unwound the legal entanglement by paying for BHO Sr. to fly back to Hawaii in late 1971 to assert hisparental rights and have the Soetoro adoption annulled. The annulment removed Lolo Soetoro as Barack Hussein Obama's II paternal parent and place BHO Sr. on theCOLB that was 'filed' with the Hawaii DoH via a court Order. The annulment did not change Barry's Indonesian citizenship.
Catholic Social Services of Connecticut maintained legal custody of Obama from 1971 to the age of majority. Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, was appointed Obama's guardian and maintained physical custody of Obama from 1971 to the ageof majority.
In the Federal foster care program for alien children, it is not unusual for a minor to be in the legal custody of a U.S. Federal contractor in one state whilethe child is in the physical custody of a guardian in another state. Remember, we're discussing a program for child with foreign nationality.
Obama supporters like to be dismissive with examples of U.S. Children travelingwith U.S. Passports and clearing customs while being accompanied by an Airline employee. Customs and Border Patrol procedures are different for Unaccompanied Minors who are non-citizens of the U.S. because the situation could turn into an international incident where a non-U.S. uses the situation to its advantage to manipulate U.S. Foreign Policy.
Barry Soetoro became persona non grata. Legally speaking, BHO II is technicallycorrect when he says he has never been Barry Soetoro. But his nationality, regardless of the name change, is Indonesian.
His CLN is on file with the DoS, DHS, IRS and FBI.
Barry remained an Indonesian citizen living with his guardian in Hawaii until 5years after he reached the age of majority, 23 years-old. A green card holder must wait 5 years before they can naturalize as a U.S. Citizen. If Barry didn't havea Certificate of Naturalization on file with the USCIS, then he'd be eligible tobe POTUS.

For example, why would Barry as a child reject his citizenship — which would have had to be done before he entered third grade in Indonesia? I doubt he had the reasoning skills to be able to understand citizenship issues at that time. Regardless, the State Department will ignore childhood citizenship decisions and defer to citizenship oaths made at the age of majority.
And is there any reasonable scenario where Catholic Social Services of Connecticut gets involved? None of the adult decision makers surrounding BHO jr. had any known relationship with Connecticut. Has anybody shown any documentation that supports this contention?
Yeah, Wiki still has Lolo’s father getting killed by the Dutch in the revolution, while Maraniss found relatives who said he had a heart attack standing on the couch to hang drapes...but...Wiki has no trace of a military background, much less being a “colonel.” Lolo was clearly a geographer by training and profession which is only tangentially linked to the military through civilian employment.
