This is hard for so many of us who are long, medium and short-term freepers. I know we go through this every once in awhile here with various issues and/or candidates and it’s understandable when we have heart-felt beliefs, values and principles- and sometimes they differ- strongly.

I wish we were all on the same side here- but we’re not. It’s kind of tough because I make use of your website every day- have for years and yet I know somehow I’m not welcome because I don’t believe what you do about this presidential candidate and you’ve made it clear what you think and by default I guess, what you think of those of us who disagree.

While he is far from a perfect man, I believe Paul Ryan has character and principles. And so, I don’t believe he would associate himself with a man (much less agree to be his partner and put himself and his family through what will be a grueling ordeal of campaigning) who is as horrible as many freepers think Romney and Mormans are.

I know I won’t be able to persuade anyone to change their mind about this- and my mind is equally made up as well.

I know very little about Mormanism, but I do happen to know a few Mormans casually. They’re hardworking, fair and just plain nice folks. What goes on in the inner reaches of Salt Lake City is none of my damn business- it’s not my church.

I’m sorry you aren’t able to celebrate with us today Jim- or at least with some of us.

I love FR and yet again I’m getting the feeling that maybe I don’t fit.

Very well said. Agreeing to serve with Mitt is also a sign to me that Paul Ryan puts the survival of this great nation above all else. I’m very grateful that he does.

If you don’t fit, neither do I. I’m not Mormon. I’m lifelong Lutheran. But I spent 4 years in Salt Lake City dealing with Mormon influence and know this. Their religion rules most aspects of their lives, it’s antithetical to my beliefs. But that should not be an issue when it comes to the national stage. It shouldn’t for Lutherans, Catholics, Jews. Our nation, the Constitution we hold dear, allows freedom of religion. If we on FR don’t acknowledge that same tenet here, we don’t deserve to exist. It’s part of the essence of the Constitution we claim to honor.

I’ve had my problems with Mormonism, but that has to be put behind me when it comes to this candidate and his religion. We’re at the point where in the next few months we will continue to be a union or we will soon lose our freedom. Anyone holding opposition to Mormonism over national sovereignty is wrong. Flat our wrong, if that opposition is more important than our vote in November.

We have a choice. We’d best think long and hard about what our decision will be. This is NOT the 2008 election redux.

I am not voting for a Mormon....I am voting AGAINST barry.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do until today, when Paul Ryan was announced as VP.

That sealed the deal for me. Ryan isn’t one to stand along the sidelines. He will not only push Romney to the center, but I believe he will actually be able to push him to the right.

Perhaps his “mis-speak” when introducing him as the next president wasn’t a “mis-speak” after all. Although, I did like the way he humbled and made a joke about himself and corrected it.

Again, I am NOT voting for someones religion. I’m voting to get those bastards out of the white hut!

I know the feeling. I feel the same way. I just cant refer any more people to FR right now. When I do they send me WTH emails or call me and ask me why I sent them to this site and why I am here. They think it’s fringe, kooky. It’s not at ALL like it was when I joined. It makes me very sad, but it is what it is and I cannot support a site that in any way, shape or form supports or does anything to help the re-election of the Kenyan Marxist narcissist in the WH. Romney is not even 1/100000000 as bad as Soetoro who is hell bent on destroying this country and redistributing the wealth. He HATES this country and wants to being it down. Romney doesn’t want that and Ryan SURE doesn’t.
