Republican & Tea Party Taliban “Racism” (Echoing the Obama administration)
Delaware Newszap ^ | March 2, 2013 | Legends007

I’m not saying all Republicans are racist. I’m saying that as a party, ever since Goldwater and Nixon concocted the benighted, openly racist “Southern Strategy” in the ’60s, the Republican Party has profited from overt and covert racism.

The Southern Strategy was designed to capitalize on Southern white resentment of court-enforced busing to end school desegregation, of the 1964 Civil Rights Act's prohibition of discrimination in interstate commerce, of enforcement of the 1965 Voting Rights Act to prevent historically racist Southern counties and states from discriminating against blacks who sought to exercise their right to vote where once they'd been effectively barred. By playing on these issues, Nixon and other Republicans of this era won many traditionally Democratic votes in the South. Later, GOP opposition to affirmative action, race-based hiring "quotas" and all other methods of compensating for the debilitating legacy of slavery, Jim Crow and segregation fed into what was one of the momentous shifts, a total turnaround in just more than a decade (1970 to 1984) from a solidly Democratic South to a solidly Republican one.

--snip--

Just think some of these loonies see pleas to run Palin again; a large segment advising people to sit it out in 2016 if a "true conservative" is not nominated, and a nascent third-party movement. All of these people are aware they will not win with our current electorate for many years. They do not care.

"Let it burn" is a refrain from radical right wing blogs. The rump of the party (basically what's left) are willing to charge off the cliff before admitting they need to change...

I don't know which would be worse: If this individual actually believes this or they're just using this tripe to try and destroy us. And notice the attack on Sarah Palin? I thought she was old news? Why are they so scared of her running again?

There is some comfort in knowing that after the
media successfully helps the Dems to eliminate the Repubs,
whether moderate or far right,, the press will
then be the new enemy of the Socialist, until
the free press is also eliminated.
A one party country and a state controlled media
is then controlled by the dictator, and we all
live happily thereafter,,until the revolution.

Many left-wing folks, such as the author of this article, are mentally disturbed.

Here, the author is disconnected to reality, and because of that, he has demonstrated he is a fool, or a potential danger to society.

Most black conservatives are not Republicans, and they certainly aren’t Democrats. Democrats are the party of the KKK and open black genocide through Planned Parenthood. They are also the party of economic slavery through lifelong government dependency. The Republicans are the party of “go along to get along”. They are afraid to go against the status quo because the old, dying “mainstream” media might call them racist. We desperately need some new blood in Congress. Why do people keep electing those senile old fools (in both parties) over and over?

We’ll be reading about this loon as the suspect in a political shooting/murder some day. The deluded media will report him to be a Tea Party sympathizer.

Southern white resentment of court-enforced busing to end school desegregation...

The one advantage we have is that the other side really is that stupid.

Although I’m unlikely to have time to read Ann Coulter’s recent book, I understood that she blew up the received wisdom about the switch that occurred among the southern electorate by showing that the move away from the dyed-in -the-wool racism of the first post-bellum century Democrat party to the Republicans had already begun prior to the “southern strategy.” It’s been a snow job that the media and the Deocrats have engaged in for 50 years now.

I have just a one word response to that absurd, racist, circular opinion..

Wouldn't that apply even more perfectly, without the asinine dependence on personal inference to the 'openly racist' BLACK CONGRESSIONAL CAUCUS?

OK. I lied about the "one word."

This is unmitigated BS. Southerners switched to the Pub side because Dems left them. Much like how the neocons crashed the party, except they actually changed the platform. I must have missed Pubs switching to a Dixiecrat agenda in 64.

That lefties have managed to paint Pubs and conservatives in general as racist on such a narrow little sliver of a rationale testifies to the unbound imagination of liars. Okay, so libertarian leaning Goldwaterites opposed whiping out freedom of association for the comfort of bans on private segregation, Pubs never went along with (and still don’t) the false extension of civil rights into affirmative action, and the party has undoubtedly benefitted from racist Southerners. Leave aside for the moment that racism exists outside the American South. Is this enough to erase the fact that:

a). as I said, the party platform didn’t change;
b). Republicans were the party of black folks for almost a century before the New Deal; and
c). Dems were the ones who dragged their feet on civil rights legislation

?

You got that right, the agenda of the press is power of the press.

The easy route for them at this time is to tell lies about the evils of capitalism and conservatism, after these are destroyed the only thing they will have left is the truth about socialism and that will mean their demise.
