after she helped torpedo John McCain’s Presidential aspirationsOK, he shows his cluelessness right there. SARAH SAVED McCAIN's BUTT! He was on-track to make McGovern look like he lost in a squeaker. I worked the election GOTV effort and there were no volunteers until the day after the announcement and her speech. People flooded in, saying "I'm here for Sarah." And this is a conservative county. McCain's defeat would have been epic if not for Sarah Palin. A clue is far away from Mr. Fahr

I agree with the author's title, to a point: She is no longer necessarily politically viable with respect to elected office.
However, she is still an energized and powerful unelected leader.
