One cannot determine that a document is authentic from a scan, that does require that the physical document be examined.

But one can be certain it is a fake from a scan.

For example, if I gave you a scan of Obama's selective service registration card "that he signed in 1980", but the actual form he signed isn't the 1980 version of the SS registration form, but one that wasn't issued until 1995, you can be certain it wasn't signed in 1980, can't you?

If in fact that was the case. Nut then it would appear that several people used 1995 forms back in 1980.

Bruce Henderson’s form and Darrell Oniwa’s form are from the same post office as Obama’s.
