George Zimmerman's trial defense attorney Don West recently reported he received e-mails from people threatening his daughters with rape over a controversial post on Instagram. Rachel West, who was not in the family picture, was in the courtroom Monday.
In a response to a July 2nd prosecution's request to investigate the social media post, West said the family photo prompted "threats of violence" that were "vicious." West also said he was distressed that in a request to investigate the post, the prosecution had made "reckless, dangerous and inaccurate allegations."
Prosecutors linked the motive for the post to witness Rachel Jeantel, also known as Diamond Eugene and Dee Dee. She was the last to talk to Trayvon Martin over the phone before Zimmerman killed him Feb. 26, 2012. Jeantel, who speaks both Creole and Spanish, did not speak English well and said she did not read and write cursive.....

On the other hand, her father is less of an idiot than a poster who thinks one can “lay down rules” for their grown children.

The reality is, very few of the animals give a rat’s ass about Trayvon or Zimmerman. Many are hoping for an acquittal because for them it’s all about an excuse to loot and grab (even more) “free stuff” they did nothing to earn. Hordes of animals in every city from coast to coast are begging for an opportunity to loot. You know.... for Trayvon.
I would agree. I wish that this was not the case, but it very apparently is.
You know what really is upsetting is when I have seen, I guess they were tweets, if Zimmerman gets off then I am going to k*** me a white boy or something along these lines...
This is unbelievable, firstly white boys didn’t have anything to do with it in the first place, and secondly that would make such a person into a 1st degree murderer which is despicable.
I have lost all respect for people involved in this on the wrong side with the wrong reasons, and I am not sure that damage can ever be repaired.
That’s what will happen to the women on the Jury (and they KNOW it), if they Acquit Zimmerman......

Understood! Perhaps lawyer dad should have warned the kids of such things.
I understand that it is those kids’s rights to post socially, however, given the heated and critical condition of this case, it’s not a good idea. And yes, my kids do social media. And yes, they do other stuff that may not be smart and to my agreement. That’s why I am here.
You’re the one who should “check your timeline.” The photo was dated a couple of days before the Jeantel testimony. I agree his daughter was dumb but that’s not on him!

The text of the tweet is unfortunate to say the least. West is supposed to be a smart guy and a defense lawyer in a racially charged case? He should think of his client. The “witness” did enough damage to herself that West didn’t need to point out the obvious.
The reaction to the post is beyond criminal or would be if threats were still actionable.
His DAUGHTER made the post BEFORE Miss Jeantel testified.
True, but even beyond that it seems that there are a number of people, CNN I am looking at you, who seem invested in starting riots over this.
And you aren’t responsible for your children’s actions. Weak and unfortunate if true. We schooled our daughter better just as our parents schooled us.

I think it’s funny that the prosecution just automatically assumed the ‘stupid’ comment referred to Jeantel. How could they make that assumption?
Actually, I think Molly West was referring to the prosecutors themselves.
