A&E airing episodes of Steven Segal:Lawman could be considered an in-kind campaign contribution ... for his opponents.

Cooper aka: Vincent Furnier, is a Michigander. He chose the snowbird route. Alice Cooper rocks! Seagal is a self absorbed a*****e.

Classic infiltrator.
Tries to create linkage with a big name (Ventura and Perot), runs as change candidate, gets elected then mutates into something else.

the AZ Governor race is going to be very very interesting. Five Republicans have announced. Secretary of State Ken Bennett, Treasurer Doug Ducey, State Senator Al Melvin, Mesa Mayor Scott Smith and former GoDaddy executive Christine Jones. Jones and Ducey are millionaires and I’m sure will throw a lot of money at this race. I will disclose that I am friendly with Doug Ducey and I believe he would be a terrific Governor. Ken Bennett has been around for many years in all areas of State Government. He is a very very nice man. Both say they are Conservative. But Bennett’s record paints a little different picture. Al Melvin is conservative, but has no name recognition throughout the State. Scott Smith is the dark horse. I am not too familiar with him, as I live in Northwest AZ, but I hear he is extremely popular in the areas where you need to be. I heard Jones and was wholly unimpressed. As an elected official, I will not endorse anyone, but when the time comes, I will happily tell people who I will be voting for. I am all about the Transfer of Public Lands and whoever is serious about taking on that issue will get my vote. Ken Bennett has made it a focal point of his campaign, and that’s very courageous. I do not think Steven Seagal is going to run. He doesn’t have a chance. These are serious times.

“Seagal has been an outspoken opponent of animal cruelty.
Animal rights work

Seagal has been an outspoken opponent of animal cruelty which can be seen in a scene in the movie Out for Justice. This is consistent with his views on spirituality, as well as his environmentalist views (as showcased in On Deadly Ground). Seagal believes in reincarnation: “When I walk into a room some people see a dog, some people see a cow. I am all of what they see. It is their perception.”

Steven has described his activism method as “shaming companies into changing,” a theme that is visible in such films as On Deadly Ground and Fire Down Below. He has worked with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to discourage the fur trade, and has written to the Prime Minister of India to seek increased legal protection for cows. Seagal worked effectively towards saving dogs destined to drown in Taiwan.

This activism has not diminished in recent years. For these and other efforts, Seagal was awarded a PETA Humanitarian Award in 1999. In 2003, Seagal wrote an open letter to the leadership of Thailand, urging them to enact law to prevent the torture of baby elephants.

Native American issues

Seagal is a concerned advocate for the rights and interests of Native Americans. In his film On Deadly Ground, Seagal depicted himself as The Chosen One, sent to save the Inuit people from the evils of “Big Oil”.

Outside of his film work, Seagal has volunteered, lending his voice as a narrator for an activist film project, Medicine Lake Video, which seeks to protect sacred tribal ground near his ranch in Siskiyou County.”

Funniest speedcam pic was of Alice and Glenn Campbell. Paradise Valley (AZ) had speed cams (IIRC first in the valley). About 20 years or so ago, Glenn was speeding. Snap, the pic taken and Alice was in the passenger side. They had been playing golf.

I still want to go to Alice’s Cooperstown Restaurant by the Diamondbacks Field in Downtown Phx. Never been there (no dinero to eat out let alone anything else), take my kids, and order the two-foot-long “Big Unit” (Named after Randy Johnson) hot dog.

I saw Alice the opening day of either the first or second year (can’t remember) of the Diamondbacks. My son had won tickets, good ones, in the bottom section. Alice had his seats one section over. I had no idea he was so tiny and skinny. Good guy. Does a lot of charity work around here.

Now that Hugh Hallman has switched to Treasurer, one less running for Gov. Thanks for the analysis Hildy!

Smith has had nice little meetings with Stanton (lib Phx mayor) IIRC. Smith IIRC, is pro-illegal or at least for not enforcing our Laws that Illegal Immigrants abuse.

The answer is: "Kelly Lebrock"

The question is: "What does Steven Seagal use for a punching bag?"

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is endorsing him. Saw it on FOX news this morning. No verbal was shown, just Arpio walking with him and the announcer mentioning it.

Just saw this on DU:

(first time there for about a year, but google pointed it out)

“Never knew Steven Seagal was a Republitard”

(won’t post the link)

Just saying. Is this true? He seems like a Republican to me.
