Yep - after Katrina, i put up a sign at the end of our road warning that we were an armed community and looters would be shot - "visiting" Florida Trooper happened by and read the sign, noted the .357 on my hip, touched the brim of his hat and continued on.
Very little looting in S. MS in vivid contrast to NOLA where they confiscated legally held weapons and bared the throats of the decent folks....
