Why do you believe “worldometer?” Who runs “worldometer?”

Did anyone bother to question “worldometer?”

Has anyone actually verified the numbers, or is “worldometer” the gospel?

If you go to Worldometer’s “About us” page. They state who they are, where they are headquartered, and how and from where they compile data:

CDC? Too slow to update. JHU is probably better, but the app doesn’t work on iPad.

Worldometer seems to be run by libs (they have sections on oil consumption, bicycle production, etc.) but it’s relatively user-friendly. It has some usefulness when checking long term trends, if you ignore numbers from the usual-suspect nations.

By now, most FReepers with experience know how to interpret any numbers and any graphs from anywhere: with a huge salt mine.
