On April 14, NYS did a big data dump of over 3,700 previously unreported fatalities (March 11 to April 13) from nursing homes and private homes.
For a short while Worldometer reported April 14 as having over 6100 daily deaths for the whole USA (mostly from NYS).
After getting info from NYS, Worldometer redistributed the excess 3700+ to the various actual dates, so that huge national 6100 death spike is now gone from their graph.
