“More than a century after a mentally ill concert violinist shot and killed an up-and-coming novelist in New York City, leading to the strictest gun restrictions in the nation, the U.S. Supreme Court has struck down the law. “
A lot of good that did. There is more “gun crime” in NYC now than ever before.
And they keep blaming inanimate objects for crime, rather than the animate ones that pulls the trigger. Pass a strict law against those animate trigger pullers and you’ll see crime go down.
But you still need a permit, right? And hopefully they don’t purposefully muck that up. 🤬
We are ruled more by news cycle than by common sense.
no open carry in NY unless in the field hunting
no, almost all NYC permits are for on premises only because applying for a CCP would have been turned down
the application process is the same though
no open carry in NY unless in the field hunting
That makes sense.
Got it. So a concealed carry permit is the only game in town.
pretty much...
As a former New Yorker, WOW!!!!
"First a permit to carry, then a license to conceal it?" ANSWER, The permit is to allow the Purchase & Ownership, and to Carry." (2022 "Carry" word of the day, 1776 "To Bear, i.e. have on your possession.")
Cliff NOTE{s} New York Requirements (if I miss some, it's because I left that hell hole almost 50 yr's ago.) Metal Evaluation by a shrink, testimony by a couple of witness that your of good moral whatever, and of course the background check from hell, your bank accounts, etc.
By the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY June 23rd, USSC Associate Justice Clarence Thomas. What a way to give yourself a present. (born June 23rd, 1948)
Thanks for your service. This also shows how creative Americans are. Hopefully the more the Leftists try to confiscate law abiding citizens arms the more creative they will become in finding ways to protect themselves.
>> New York State ... Hell on Earth II
Maybe the Rat infested NYC and Albany, but the rest of the state voted for Trump including Staten Island (both elections) and Long Island.
I enjoyed the movie then, not sure today.
Ah, yes. The Harry Thaw/Evelyn Nesbit/Stanford White triangle. A lurid media-fueled scandal and “trial of the century.”
The movie, “Ragtime”, was about this love triangle, too. Very interesting. Elizabeth McGovern did a great job. Never could figure out if she (Nesbitt) was smart and conniving, or an airhead.
Or both, like Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. "I can be smart when it's important." My guess, she was showgirl smart. Street smart, tarted up a bit.
Thank you ever so. ;)
If you are in the Adirondacks hiking and don’t wish to be eaten by a bear?
don’t get caught in a NY State Park wi any firearm.
