The Miss Israel beauty contest will not be held this year, ending a run of annual competitions that started in 1950. As a result, Israel will not be sending a contestant to the international Miss Universe contest to be held January in the US.
The move by organizers of the Israel contest, which was quietly announced last week, drew a range of responses from past winners, from lamenting the development to welcoming the event’s demise. In recent years the pageant has faced criticism for judging women on their physical appearance.

Why? Israel is not as woke as some nations in the West.
” In recent years the pageant has faced criticism for judging women on their physical appearance.” Oh my, the horror!
—judging women on their physical appearance? And every red blooded Israeli guy is saying: Problemo?
Maybe that was the reason. It’s a shame, because many of the Israeli women are very nice looking and in the flower of their youth. I predict the pageant will return after a year or two. Maybe they will take the word ‘beauty’ out of it, knowing that’s still what the show is all about. Traditions like that die hard.
Fat and ugly is the new sexy 😖🤮
Maybe all the girls are ugly.
If you had a bunch of horse-faced fatties you wouldn’t want to parade them around.
Imagine a beauty pageant making judgement based on beauty. What’s next? Judging a spelling bee based on spelling?
These clowns need to look up the definition of “beauty.”

It’s not easy bein’ green.
There will be an audience for a beauty pageant for a long time. If the organizer doesn’t want to make money, somebody else will.

Interesting 🤔 number BTW
or elections based on actual votes
Shirley, there are plenty of fat men available to compete
These are such sad times for women and girls.
Do I know her?
Look at the young lady in the above photo.
She looks so familiar. That might be an old photo of
Natalie Portman (Black Swan film)
Women should never be judged solely on their looks in these contests. There needs to be a bake-off as well. And a clean-off. And a demonstration of the ability to be quiet.
That is not Kosher.
The woman in the picture is Miss Israel 2021, Noa Cochva.
