Don't blame the inanimate object. It takes a long sequence of complex actions to become an addict. Despite an IQ higher than many Demonrats, there are not many canines addicted to fentanyl, due in part to the lack of opposable thumbs. Maybe we should blame opposable thumbs. At least those are animate.
I can thank my father’s alcoholism for my teetotalism, but not everybody is that fortunate.
Unfortinately they are engineering drugs to maximize the odds of addiction from the getgo. You may as well blame them for not seeing their own future.
The main reason for taking drugs is that our society is bereft of joy and meaning. If we are to fix this, before we have 300+ million casualities, that is what we have to bring back.
It’s tragic that Satan has been able to exploit the open-borders policies of George W. Bush and the Democrats, and destroy so many lives.

Perhaps a WEF / Georgia Guidestones (gone) population-reduction goal is more drug addicts with shorter life spans, who won’t be able to collect welfare nor Social Security? /shiny side out

In politics, I used to think there were leftists and the good guys. The Leftists are everyone in politics.
I’m not so sure we are right in assuming there exists natural desire to be free, i.e. to embra ce the founding principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, each concept of which is most often ignored, misunderstood, and/or despised.
Yet that assumption has guided national and foreign policy for centuries. The assumption should be that most people desire servitude to their passions, and that only a remnant know what it means to be free. That remnant is large, but does not have borders. It does not include the elites in DC who make a pretense of those principles.
Drug abuse and homelessness are but two obvious symptoms of servitude, but in truth, the avarice present in billion dollar arms deals and bailouts is no less a form of servitude.
The Christian will know how to take care of things, locally and with family. The rest will muddle along or get caught up in ways that mean everything but true freedom.
