It is not enough to be a “Conservative”. Many conservatives are so rigid with their standards that they refuse to negotiate and occasionally compromise to obtain as much as is possible to obtain. Barry Goldwater was such a conservative. He rigidly stood his ground and never accomplished anything. Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump knew how to deal and accomplished much.
Do not cast yourself into the Goldwater mold and never accomplish anything worthwhile.
