I am not a big believer in aliens. Just seems unlikely.
But I do see a lot of stories lately that — for no dang reason — seem to say “This will come in handy when those aliens show up”. It gets me thinking. Are they suddenly going to announce that we have a treaty with an intergalactic power? It feels like The Powers That Be are trying to break this news to us slowly.
That is really one of the theories going on.

The “aliens” are a cover story for what they really are, fallen demonic angels in material form. Why they don’t all look the same? Well, there were different levels of angels.
