Is it morally ethical to throw away the future of your children?

No. It is our responsibility to raise them in such a manner that they will be able to survive under almost any circumstances.

As to slamming the door on poor people from the south, I wonder what God thinks about it.

Also I wonder how much is our fault that Mexico is in a mess . We set the world standard financially.

I'm kind of thinking out loud here; I don't have a clear sense of what is best. My sense of what is best is that Mexico should have cleaned up their act and made their country nice so people would want to stay. We were the ones who were told by opinion shapers that we were being immoral (the implication) if we produced more than 2.5 children. That was a lie.

I deleted some other things I really think. Deep down I don't trust Mexicans as a whole because they seem sneaky. That may be totally untrue, but I have seen them get away with things I couldn't get away with. An example:

My daughter was in a horrible accident. My ex-husband turned me in to social services because parts of the walls were out in my house because I hadn't gotten around to hire anyone to fix them. Because of possible lead poisoning, the social worker said I couldn't take care of my granddaughter. I managed to get permission from the housing manager (which was really nice of her) to stay at my daughter's government-subsidized apartment while she was in the hospital so I could take care of my granddaughter. I couldn't have my underage son there; he had to fend for himself at home and with friends.

One of the girls in the building had an illegal Mexican boyfriend who got a pass living in government housing and never ever had to get out. Others had drug dealers and all kinds of creepy people hanging around day and night.

That's a microcosm of how illegal people get more and better treatment than American citizens when the chips are down.

There I shouldn't have spouted that off but I did.

Unlike you I have absolutely no doubts about the way I feel. You asked if God would want us to help these people. We do. We give a $hit load of money to their government every year. I would suggest they go home and take up the issue with THEIR government. You also said that their plight may be some of our fault. Are you nuts? How the----- did you arrive at that conclusion? Did we go down there and make there country what it is. No we didn’t.

As for as them being good people and hard workers. Yes , I’m sure some of them are. But they are also criminals. No matter what you say or how you try to put a spin on it , they are in this country illegally. It’s that simple. I don’t care what the reason or the thought process behind them coming here, they broke our laws.

And being here illegally and working is also criminal. Again, no matter how you spin it. They have broken into our country and are stealing from us. Just like if I broke into your home. After all I just want what you have and you certainly don’t expect me to work for it does you? The ones on welfare, food stamps, WIC and all the other freebies are stealing from the citizens.

And it doesn’t matter if you like these laws. They are the ones on the books. Those are the ones that we must make our government respect. Any way or means that we can. All the illegal immigrants should be rounded up. And yes it can be done. Not just the Mexicans but all of them.

And no more freebies. Not just to the illegals but to the legal immigrants too. If they can not make it here without the CITIZENS picking up the bill then they need to go back home. We don’t need them here. And I will not even start on the anchor babies.

You say it’s too late. No. It’s never too late. You say it would invite revolution. It wouldn’t be the first time, would it? If it means revolution or giving up MY country and MY way of life then bring it on. What are you frightened of? We would be no worse off if we lost and look at what we would gain. Our country back after the politicans and big business gave it away. Isn't that worth any sacrifice?

I think that we should all look in our hearts and find what we need to do. If your country is not worth fighting for then you are right, your counttry is not worth fighting for. My country is worth a lot to me. I will not stand idly by wringing my hands while another country takes over. No way.
