Pagan band demands "quiet area for fornication"

Pagan band demands 'quiet area for sex'

A pagan rock band is demanding a "quiet area for fornication" during a summer solstice celebration in Birmingham.

The event, billed as a family fun day out, has been condemned by the Church of England, reports the Birmingham Evening Mail.

Headliners Inkubus Sukkubus demanded the "fornicatorium" at the event, which is being held to mark the longest day of the year.

Managers at the Custard Factory venue confirmed a quiet area would be provided for the group, fronted by female vocalist Candia.

A spokesman said: "They said they needed a quiet fornicatorium. They say it is a fertility rite. The singer goes into a trance-like state. We don't quite know what will happen once the frenzied activity begins."

Druids from across the country will descend on the Custard Factory for the celebration, which is billed as a perfect day out for the whole family, on Saturday.

Rhiannon Biddulph, of the UK Pagan Association, said: "There are certain festivals were we celebrate the creation of life where you have to have sex. Most pagans have a fairly relaxed attitude to sex."

But a spokesman for the Church of England in Birmingham said: "It seems the Druids have overdosed on the magic mushrooms when arranging this event. It beggars belief that this kind of tackiness and tawdriness is being promoted as a cultural family event."

Heck, I highly doubt Jesus was any more holy than you are. IF he even existed.

Your first post on this thread was off topic, like so many of these religous discussion wander, and somehow this makes ME the "baiter". I guess you must be the Master then...

In Mark 9:5 Peter *said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.". Under Talmudic Law, you had to be married to be a Rabbi during the time Jesus supposedly lived.

So answer my question, Who was Jesus Married To....

Oh dear brilliant and educated pagan priest, the Greek word for rabbi simply means "my master."

For once I'd like to see you pagan types give a rational defense of your religion. For example, Mr dead corpse, you have previously stated your support for materialistic evolution. Perhaps you can explain your animistic belief system in light of a theory that denies the spirit world. Better yet, evolution puts animism at the bottom of the heap in its own belief of the evolution of religion. Monotheism is at the top (unless you accept humanism as a religion). So you at the bottom of the religious food chain mock that which is at the top. What is your rational foundation for such a position?

As long as you're at it, tell us if essence precedes existence or existence precedes essence. Or does your religion even recognize existence or essence?

So why did they leave in referrences to these Prophets and these Books, but then exclude the text? Is God perfect at being everything other than an editor?

ROTHLMAO - SO!

So dumba$$, they were never mentioned in passages of the NT by Christ! Kinda shoots that down right off.

but I think that having children was so critical to the people then that it took all precedence over individual or private feelings about anything.

No one has mentioned that Abraham was a rich man. If you could get in his family you'd have it made. That kind of stuff still goes on today. The accusation that Hagar was raped is witout merit.

Thanks! That is the first decent answer I have had that didn't just gloss over it with a "...god's will" or "have faith".

Because he still has a few million chowderheads running around that would be more than happy to legislate us back to the Burning Times.

You represent your religion well.

True. I think what we meant is that it is easy to read that into it given today's standards. No, I don't think Hagar was raped. But I can understand why someone reading this story today could imagine that.

As I have previously stated, had you cared to read the whole thread, my "religious" beliefs are a personal conceit with no admitted connection to reality. Unlike you people who insist everyone else believe in your delusions.

As for existance, it just simply is. A=A. There is nothing else.

They didn't change the texts they included. They just decided what would be included or not.

If that's your idea of an argument to make a point, don't quit your day job.

You have a hard-on for God, that's between you and God. Don't EVEN think of using such sophomoric context-twisting and childish paraphrasing on this Forum to buttress your nonexistent argument.

You said something stupid, you got called on it, and you can't take it. Your problem, guy.

Only the numbers. Some of the more hysterical claims put the number in the millions. In truth, it was only a few hundred thousand according to documents from the trials.

Dead Corpse fancies himself an intellectual yet he doubts the existence of Jesus. Even his liberal buddies at the Jesus Seminar don't doubt his existence. Lets see now... he's not sure Jesus even existed but he's sure Jesus was married. Good. Very good.

It wasn't that long ago when mr Corpse couldn't spell the word religion. Now he claims to know why pseduegrapha was excluded from the Canon. The only thing mr Corpse, an admitted pagan priest, seems to be good at is name-calling.

Which brings up another contradiction: FR is supposed to be a conservative forum, yet some seem to advocate anti-conservative values like the disregard for personal responsibility and self-control.
