I took a few minutes to visit the other sites clustered around FR in the rankings. IMHO they have turned their backs on the profound dimension added by the ability to post comments after an article. It truely makes all the difference to the level of engagement and interest I derive from FR.

No site is perfect, and FR is no exception. I've had freeper friends banned, and I've never really figured out why, but then I only pay as much attention as my offline life allows. However, I suspect that a goodly cross-section of the banned "anti-freepers" are so outraged because JR did not let them hijack his site and bend it to their will. Good for him.

Mr. Wallace displays an arrogance and shallowness in his article that is typical of the semi-lazy imbued with expectation of acclaim: long on the gratuitous insults and inuendo, short on the nuts and bolts specifics and details that would truely indicate that he knows of what he speaks.

IF FR is the truely ugly, then here is wishing that everyone can enjoy mirrors cracking and junk yard dogs howling with fright as you pass. Sometimes the truth is ugly, but it sure beats whiny self-agrandizement.
