FR/ProtestWarrior Alliance - What say we make it official?

Okay, this is something I've been thinking about for a long time. Since the FReepers and PWs have a lot in common, I suggest the formation of an alliance. We PWs link to you guys, you link to us, we coordinate our operations, and so on. My thought is that we need to forge alliances with other conservative organizations, with those right-of-center, with the undecided. This is gonna be a long campaign against the ANSWERtroopers, against the leftists who hate America and seek to destroy everything that we love about her. First off, I suggest we start with the planned operation in New York City - "Liberty Rising." I believe there's been a thread posted about this previously. How about we start working on how to coordinate a rally together. The rest of us can get in touch with any conservative groups they have contact with, and we can go from there. Our numbers are steadily growing, but numbers are nothing without synchronicity, without connection, without a common purpose. What say we get this alliance started?

If the PW's and PW Chapters need private areas to communicate or discuss plans, they can sign up for a private forum at the FRN site. You don't have to be an FR chapter to have one.

I agree with you. Coordinating protests and other actions can be extremely effective. I have also thought that diligent work toward good media attention will pay off BIG TIME; for now, the only sympathetic voice we have in the tv media is Fox, but we could work toward getting announcements posted on other bbs. and perhaps on various talk radio shows. Hannity, Rush, and Quinn and Rose come to mind. The Conservative Movement needs to get much more aggressive! Our greatest liability is no "mainstream media" voice. That needs to change.

I tried to register once for PW HQ about a week and a half ago, and again this morning. Neither attempt has generated a confirmation email.

Of course, it could be because the Atlanta chapter has 21 members, and no chapter leader. Go figure.

Thanks for the ping to your comments, staytrue. Good points. I think most of us, PWs included, think and rethink any activities we are considering before the fact; but a reminder is always welcome.

The PWs do good work. The ones I've met are mostly young and fit, which comes in handy when they march right into the leftists' rallies, with videocams rolling; and it works for them. They have a great deal of creative talent, as evidenced by their signs and their video productions of the rallies they have infiltrated and the college campus events they have done. Their really good quality videos no doubt go a long way towards winning hearts and minds of the folks who have seen them.

I enjoy watching their videos; it gives me hope to see that calibre of creativity and critical thinking skills in young(er) conservatives.

Why wait til the fall???

On Saturday, July 3rd, ANSWER & friends will be protesting the war, capitalism, Israel, Bush, big business and push-up bras right here in river city...Richmond, VA that is.

They will rally in Monroe Park at 4 pm and march downtown and back again.

Due to the rad left element in the Diocesan Office of Justice and Peace (they actually gave out black ribbons, instead of yellow ones, in church after the war started and aligned themselves with ANSWER!!!), it would be most satisfying to counter-protest on the sidewalk in front of the Cathedral facing the park. I don't think St. Michael the Archangel would mind.
