According to the video of the event, it appears that none of those phrases was uttered in English. Unless there were translators or subtitles on a video board, the room was full of people who didn't understand what was being said. Hilarious.
"We have a saying in China, 'It doesn't really matter what I say here because none of you speak Chinese'".
Of course, the part in quotes was in the subtitles.
I suppose that makes a good excuse when they're questioned later.
