A MESSAGE FROM LOU ENGLE I started out praying for revival. Now I find myself praying for government - something I was never interested in. But I can't shake this passion, this obsession that revival alone is not going to turn this nation. We've had a hundred years of revival in America, since 1906 - a hundred years of outpourings of the Spirit. And why aren't our sons and daughters in the top of Hollywood in the top of government and law school?

It’s because we've had a wrong theology. Our theology has been that we are a terminal generation. We told them, “Jesus is coming any time.” We didn’t give our sons and daughters a vision of ruling in the earth because “Jesus is coming tomorrow”. Jesus may come tomorrow, but we must live for a forty to one hundred year revolution.

The rebels of Berkley forty years ago are now the law school professors today. It makes me mad that the leaders of America are taunting and boasting of their freedom but it’s a freedom without law.

The courts of Massachusetts today can say same sex marriage is okay,

The courts of Texas can pass a law concerning homosexuality based on the basis of the privacy act of Roe vs. Wade

Is there not a cause?

Maybe we don’t even know God‘s heart. We’re so afraid to offend in this country. But God is offended. He’s offended with forty years of plus forty two million babies being aborted. He’s offended.

It’s time we (the church) find each other because the left and right wing can fly together. There comes a place where we find unity or we die. I wonder if this same sex marriage will be the dividing line. In Connecticut, the African American church is rising up as leaders concerning this issue, because it’s not the same issue of justice as it was for civil rights. You cannot put sex preference with righteousness and civil rights. You have to pick and choose where you’re going to draw the line. The church is going to have to say, “Here we stand. We can do no other.”

I’m concerned we're going to waltz through the election with no idea of the issues and stakes before us. I preached to a group of 7000 young people in Kansas City. I got together with some young prophets in my room afterwards. I found only 1 out of 6 of those kids voted because they were never taught the government rests on the shoulders of the church. The government is to be upon the shoulders of fathers and families. Illegitimate authority can never carry the keys of government. They can’t shoulder the responsibility. We live with integrity because we have self-government. Our forefathers understood this. God’s kingdom rules over all the earth. That's why he calls himself King of kings and Lord of lords because he rules over kings.

All I know is that I feel I have only 8 months to fan the flame of righteousness in the nation. I see George Sauer put 5 million dollars in the "remove Bush campaign" for the young people. MTV is calling for 20 million votes. What is the church calling for?

I’m telling you something is stirring my heart. Something went off in this final Call. We were led onto a journey where 100 of us, mostly young people, walked 700 miles. We walked the trail of tears, a covenantal bloodline that had been broken by the government. There were 372 covenants with first nation people that were broken by the United States government. They ripped open Indian mother’s wombs and impaled the babies. God showed us through dreams that you cannot deal with the abortion issue if your first don’t deal with the root of the broken blood covenant.

Covenant is this-- they slay an animal in two and walk through the bloody lane and make covenant together and become one flesh together. I am yours and you are mine, your battles are my battles, your finances are mine. It’s the highest form of agreement in bonded relationship. God himself is through and through covenant and because of that we are still standing today filled with mercy. Because of that mercy, God has not yet judged this nation thoroughly.

God is going to shout covenant again to America because only covenant people can redeem their land and get God back on their side. I feel like for 40 years we have broken covenant with the God of our fathers in America because in 1962, when courts declared it was unconstitutional for prayer in public schools, we broke 250 years of legal precedent and it offended God. It has been 40 years of wandering in the wilderness.

Could it be now that The Call is over, the Lord is going to start fighting our battles? A week after The Call in Texas, there was a gathering called "Beyond The Call." This group of people gathered and a prophecy came out that said "This week I am going to expose and capture Sadam Hussein." Three days later, Sadam was captured. Could it be that giants start falling when God goes to war? I think God is wanting to move. “When your obedience is complete, then I’m ready to judge all disobedience.” We all are great for the year of salvation but what about the day of vengeance? They go together. God moves in mighty revival power and He topples thrones of iniquity.

Just two weeks ago at our conference, we began to prophecy that the sword of the Lord is coming against the porno industry in Hollywood. Three days later we read that 20 minutes after we prophesied a man crashes and dies who had been king of porno for 40 years. Am I bragging? No. But you read in scripture that the church is going to rejoice in the judgments of God because these people are destroying lives. Our fight is not against them but against principalities and powers. But we have to speak on earth what God speaks in heaven. We are much too jealous for one another’s emotions than God’s heart. I’m crying out to God, “give us the giants again”.

Our privilege is to go into the councils of God and deliberate the future of this nation. Scripture says this: “Surely the Lord does nothing unless he reveals it to his servant the prophets.” He reveals his secrets to his servants. The word for secrets is the same as c-o-u-n-c-i-l, same word. He wants to reveal. He wants to put you on the city council. In the church, the word ecclesia is not a gathering of saints called out of the world. The word came from the Greek ecclesia. They were the ones called out among the common, called out to rule as the city council. The church is the ruling body of the earth. We are the ecclesia.

I am seeking to start a grass roots movement in every university across America. A 1 Timothy 2:1 prayer meeting praying that God would shake the powers of every university. I believe that if there’s not a turn now in this nation (there will be serious consequences), and I have much more to say. We are seeking to go after fifty states on the same day this year for a day of fasting and prayer. We’re calling it The Cause. I don’t know how I’m going to do it, I have no idea, but I said to the Lord I’m willing to risk it all, to sell my house, because I love America.

I watched the movie, The Miracle. Everyone should watch it. It will make you fight for the USA, to believe that in the midst of despair and big giants, God will arise with a bunch of nobodies who dared to believe God could use them.

I take a lot of heat over my contention that too many Christians pray on Sunday and stay at home on Tuesday. I raise a lot of eyebrows over my complaint concerning the lack of mainstream Christian Activism. This activism needs to be grass roots in your church. We don't need the traditional icons we need us. Not activism from the pulpit but in the parking lot or when the service is over. I'll continue to pray everyday but at the same time I will continue to try to get people to think, act, and vote.

Abortion and Gay Marriage alone are enough reasons for all Christians and Jews to vote against the democrats. Add removal of God from the public sqaure and it's a smack down. But we are not holding up the mirror to ourselves or our brothers and sisters.

Speak to your neighbors, 1 on 1 or 1 on 1000.
