My personal favorite:

. . .I was walking down the street, thinking, and broke my foot in three places.

Oh well. Mine involves a big flatbed paper cutter left on the floor in a darkened room in which my telephone was ringing. I was wearing socks. The sock covering my pinky toe on my right foot instantly went from white to red. I stood there like a stork, on one foot, for a full five minutes, and I didn't utter a single word.

When I finally got to where I could look at it, I gingerly peeled off the (then soaking) sock, pushed the nail back down, cleaned the wound, and taped the front of my split pinky toe back together.

That's my story. Bon Apetit.

DU doesn't need free advertising on FR.

My dog did me one better. He sliced his tongue in half trying to drink rainwater out of a broken bottle.
I had the pleasure of holding his head while the vet sewed it back together.

Was you using it to cut out a quilt, or to slice Pizza?

Yeah I know, but there's something about the presence of a link to DU that makes me want to post something disgusting and gross.

This is an all time classic DU post, from the 2002 Election:

I really need a karmic hug

Does anyone else?

Please tell me that no matter wha-- we still love each other---the way
the freepers never can/will.

Oh please sweet Jesus please say we do. I am hurting so bad. I know I'll
be better once I sober up but goddess, I really believed we'd do better
than this.

So they're having orgies? Somehow, I don't feel I'm missing out. I prefer my women to have less leg hair than me anyway.

Cut a quilt. I used to be a productive person, before FR.

My wife quilts, but I can't get her to come near this computer. Maybe she's got a point-I was once more productive as well.
