Bmping again
Or "Bmping"
LOL!!!
for VC, the flying dog
Great job Steve.
It looks like from the pdf file he was discharged in Feb. 1978? If he was in the navel reserves until then, what are the implications of his vets against the war?
Too, did he ever have to and did he ever report for duty whyle in the reserves?
Makes me wonder why professional investigative journalists cannot find this stuff (wink, wink).
Very strong stuff, and thank you for the ping.
One little point to anyone who may have influence on this story, though, is that any "child" carrying and shooting a gun is not exactly a child (re the young VC Kerry shot after he fired on our guys.) I have the same beef with statistics purporting to show stateside firearms deaths of "children"-- a lot of those so-called "children" are themselves armed and dangerous drug dealers.
I agree, but according to Kerry's report the "child" had suffered multiple .50BMG wounds.
I cannot imagine surviving a single .50BMG wound. It was never reported that the "child" was armed either.
Please correct me as I am working from memory.
bmp...keep this where others will find and read!!!
Giving this a good ole' freep bump.....
I call yer bump and raise it a Texan bump!!!
I don't know the authoritative version, so I cannot correct you, but I do know that I've read multiple versions over the web, enough to create doubt in my mind as to the legitimacy of this charge. If I were one of those middle of the road undecided voters, the overall impression I have on the issue would be a problem for the Swift vets.
Just my take on it.
Nice compilation. Pretty damning stuff.
I would like to see a chronology, much like this, of the attacks on the swift vets and what the true story is. If I recall right, the first attack was "they didn't serve with Kerry." That was abandoned quickly and changed to "they weren't on his boat." That died quickly after the DNC faxed out talking points.
I think it would be nice to have handy -- just like this -- a point by point refutation of everything Kerry and the media is saying to run interference on this issue.
Nice job on this, though.
One minor correction: "Attending physician Leo Letson" should be "Attending physician Louis Letson"...
bttt
I like that one!! Watching Brit Hume pre-convention coverage and they said the Swiftvets will come out with a new ad this week!!
Bump
THANKS for the ping! Bookmarking!!
Thanks for your work on this Kerry Kollection!
Keep your eye out for Kerry's magic typewriter popping up in new stories. He was known for writing the unit's after-action reports, on his personally owned typewriter.
There is little doubt he forged bogus forms and resubmitted his turned down first Purple Heart months later, as his "ticket home."
The different typewriter fonts (from the standard Navy admin typewriter fonts) may be a smoking gun, if Kerry was typing up his own citations.
