According to Powerline Blog, this was reported on FOX News:
KELLY WRIGHT: Tony, here's the latest that we're finding out on this story. At least three Pentagon sources believe the documents about President Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard are fakes. CBS as you mentioned is standing by its story...
I bet it pained Kelly Wright to have to say that.
Rather will have to report this since he promised that if there were any evidence to rebut his claim that they are genuine, they will report it.

I heard this earlier today. Three Pentagon officials made statements that these documents were false.
I hope Terry McAuliffe decides to take them on. Really.

I'd think twice before I'd disparage Kelly Wright. I've seen no problems with him. Remember, he works for Fox, not the RNC. He's been fair and balanced as far as I am concerned.

Some people have pointed to the selectric typewriter as evidence that it could have been used to produce the proportionally spaced text.
This is impossible and easy to show.
Page 108 of the below doc gives the width of each character in units independent of point size.

Now take a look at the 18 August 1973 memo. Compare the length of the words "Bush's" and "period".
With the Selectric, "Bush's" should be 7+6+4+6+3+4=30 units long and
"period" should be 6+5+4+3+6+6=30 units long. So they should be equal in length.
It clear, however, that in the CBS document, "Bush's" extends beyond "period". Hence the Selectric could not have been used to create the memo.
