It's been a long time since I've here, even longer since I've posted, must have had a "Senior Moment" to have forgotten about the Great Free Republic!

God Bless this Brave Marine and all our troops who are also serving so bravely wherever their Commander in Chief needs them and yes, and sacrificing so much to serve. They need to know that we grieve for each & every precious life that is lost or body maimed. We continue to keep each and every one of you and our Allies in our thoughts & prayers and hope that God, Allah, or whoever will hear us and keep each of you safe.

I want to say I SUPPORT and HONORALL the American Troops AND ALL our ALLIES. We are not the only country or people to have lost loved ones. Most Americans "forget" or "don't care" about those.

I hope you don't mind if I send this particular page to many of my "used to be Republican but seem to have gone senile and CRS about 9/11" friends and who now doubt our Presidents decision to "stay the course". One is extrememly adamant this election, "orating" to everyone who will listen about how "even the troops are disgusted, demoralized and want to get out of there, that the Iraqi people don't want them (Coalition) here, but are afraid to say so."

Maybe this particular piece will allow her to "see" again, that the REAL and mostly demoralizing thing for the troops is the attitude by people like her. Seriously doubt it (she's another hard-headed Italian like me)said she's not really pro-Kerry, more anti-Bush and she'd vote for Mickey Mouse if he was running against him! Told her vote for anyone, just don't give the vote to Kerry!

Unfortunately the majority of the American people have become too lethargic over the years, a people of "Instant Gratification". They will readily agree as long as things go exactly like they want, as fast or easily as, with absolutely no problems. But should a shadow of a doubt or aspersions arise, they immediately feel we should change our objective, get out and leave it, never thinking about the particular and sometimes terrible consequenses involved by doing that. Even though they were told in the very beginning it was going to be a long row to how, told it would likely be years they went along with it but most of the younger generations (55 yrs. or less) do not have the stomach or staying power it takes for something like Iraq.

I am sometimes, like now, embarrassed by a number of my fellow Americans! What happened to the Anger? What happened to the Outrage? What happened to Caring about others? Have we become a country consisting of only self-servers, primarily Conscientious objectors/observers or have we just completely lost our conscience period?
