I agree. I thought the "Both" statement was the "it" moment. All the talking heads keep saying there wasn't a devasting soundbite for either candidate. I think maybe some people missed it since Lehrer was talking at the same time.
I think the three strongest points for the GOP to emphasize are the "both" comment (sums Kerry up), the "global test", and Irani sanctions (W's response was too funny!).
I agree with you. I think the press overlooked several major Kerry self-inflicted bunker busters . . . the damage may not be fully evident at first, but he hit himself hard and deep . . .
