I go to DU and peek sometimes and some of those people are my age (50 something is all anyone needs to know). I can't believe people are THAT STUPID at my age. I can't believe they put out money to someone like this Bev person. Talk about STUPID! sheesh.

But remember, if they BELIEVE hard enough, they will create their own reality (from an earlier DUFUnnies thread).

Sorta reminds me of a scene from the 50's Disney Peter Pan.. Tinkerbell is dieing, Peter turns to the audience and says something to the effect "if we all believe, cross our fingers and believe, then Tinkerbell will be well"

Smoking weed while listening to Iron Butterfly/Pink Floyd/Country Joe & The Fish/et al and staring at a lava lamp WERE part of coming-of-age for many Boomers. Most of us outgrew it and moved on to more productive endeavors and more conservative lifestyles; sadly, many of the Peter Pan types didn't learn to grow up.
