This site contains an archive of photos taken by soldiers serving in active duty. This site aims only to visually document their experiences and is not a political site. The name "Under Mars" is an homage both to Mars, the Roman God of War, and to the otherworldly nature of the experience.

If you'd like to add your photos to this archive, just email them to undermars@gmail.com along with any note you'd like included with them. Please only send photos that you took, or you know you have the permission of the photographer to send.

Found this web site from the leftist blog, Metafilter - imagine that. Photos range from the ordinary to the spectacular.

I wonder if the lamestream media will ever acqknowlege this site, thus the humanity of our troops? I'm not holding my breath, since no one seems to be wearing panties on their head. :)
