HEROES
The DamagePlan Shootings - Columbus, Ohio - Dec 8, 2004
Today I was contacted by two local Columbus Roadies that were both eyewitnesses to the DamagePlan Shootings exactly one week ago tonight in Columbus Ohio at the Alrosa Villa club. They are members of the local stage crew in Columbus, and work several venues including the Alrosa. "Jon" is the club's stage manager and "Tubbs" is the club's F.O.H. (Front of House Sound Man) and was working monitors that fateful night as he normally did when a national act like DamagePlan played the club. Neither Jon nor Tubbs have spoken publicly until now, even though both have been contacted by several national and local news sources and have been asked for comments. They have chosen to tell their story here to make sure their words are not misrepresented or taken out of context. Here is their story of those terrible few minutes that have changed their lives forever and taken a close friend from them in the same instant. As Jon emotionally told me, "It was the worst thing I have ever seen in my life." ....

Sounds as if a fan in attendance had a concealed gun permit and could have possibly prevented this, but......

In Ohio you cannot take a gun into a liquor serving establishment even WITH a secure carry permit!
You can't take one into a bank either. Yes, Gov. Taft and the rest of the boobs and leftists in their infinite wisdom won't let the decent citizens carry where it is needed, only where it isn't.
Also, I understand there is no self-defense law in Ohio either.
sad thing is were gonna have alot of people come on here and other boards all saying "yay another satanist is dead"
i was in toledo OH when the shooting happend (i was attending a trans-siberian orchestra concert) didnt hear about the shooting until 2am,
eddie van halen spoke at darryll's funeral just goes to show that were a tight knit community in the metal world
What. No satanists allowed on FR? Sheesh.
I was in Indonesia when I heard this news and it really pissed me off. I saw Pantera in Tokyo in 2000 and was blown away. I just got back to Tokyo and went to my local metal joints for some booze and conversation to talk about this and was happy to meet up with all my friends that were as upset as I was. My friend here also did some work with Phil Anselmo on some recent recordings and said Phil called Killjoy and left a message on his machine after the shooting. I'm glad to see and hear the reports of Phil being in good standing with Darrell. Time to get a metal board going here and keep in touch.
well if you wanna become part of the rock n roll playlist contact t_skoz and weegee
