I took my pre-teen daughter to see Michael Jackson at Soldier's Field. She and her gal pals were real hotshots at school the next day. Billie Jean and moonwalking. Oh my.

In the early 80s (think "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" videos) Michael was a black guy. Effeminate, but still clearly a black male.
By the time Bad was released in 1987, he looked like Liz Taylor after a freak accident.
