The person who was driving 30 mph over the posted speed limit was "speeding," he/she was "driving recklessly." This kind of person should not be taxed into oblivion . . . they should have their driving privileges revoked permanently.

Let's just say he had a golden get-out-jail-free card. And I'll agree with you about having their driving privileges revoked upon conviction. But that's not likely to happen since most voters speed, most lawmakers speed, and most of the folks who sit on juries speed. Pity they don't spare a moment for the thought that there but for the grace of God go they.
