"I even found there a Saddam Hussain's book (one of his novels). I am pretty sure, that if I wanted, I could have ordered "Mein Kampf" or "Malleus Maleficarum" should I want that. Do you really think that people in my country are prosecuted for what they tead?"

I would be very surprised if Golitsyn's books are available (especially so if they are widely available) in Russian book stores. As you know, I believe Golitsyn's analysis re: the phony "collapse" of Communist structures is correct. As such, I highly doubt the semi-hidden Communist structures in the "former" Soviet Union would appreciate Golitsyn's books floating around. I would be curious to find out what the reaction of Russia's publishing houses would be to the idea of publishing Golitsyn's 1984 book "New Lies For Old." Several publishing houses in the US have bootlegged (republished) the book because the original publisher, Dodd-Mead, went out of business...and Golitsyn doesn't say anything because he is still under deep cover. Yep, perhaps that's the best way to resolve the matter. Let's see if it's possible to publish and distribute "New Lies For Old" in Russia!!! Even better, let's have it translated into Russian!!! Are you on board? Could be a lot of money in it for YOU. And if you and Koba are correct, there shouldn't be any reprocussions--TTS

If Golitsyn is still under deep cover, then why is he surfacing from time-to-time to publish? Surely he understands that people in the media/publishing world have no scruples and would sell him out. Keep buying his spy vs. spy bs. At least you can keep his paychecks coming. Why should we translate a manuscript that was written in Russian and translated into English (which also widened the circle of people who could trace where this deep cover guy is).

Here's a smattering of what's currently on sale in Moscow:

Andropov and the KGB

The KGB in France

The KGB in Japan

The KGB in a Tuxedo (A series of books, covering a variety of subjects, to include swallows)

A General from the KGB Elite

The KGB and Authority (Meaning the executive branch)

The Main Enemy (In Russian – this is the Bearden book I ref’d earlier)

The KGB and the CIA

The KGB in England

The KGB in the UN

The KGB vs. MI-6

The KGB vs. the Soviet Mafia (ok, this one is a bit self-serving)

The KGB. Chairmen of the Security Services. (Mlechin – a neighbor of mine)

The KGB Today (John Barron – in Russian)

The KGB. A History of Overseas Operations from Lenin to Gorbachev (Gordievsky – in Russian)

The KGB. “Ordered to Liquidate”

The KGB Special Mission of the Intelligence Services

Assassins of the KGB from 1941 to 2004.

Lubyanka 1917 – 1991 (This is a book from Yakovlev’s foundation and contains archival documents –ones that point out criminal acts by the security services – from Lenin to Gorbachev).

KGB Guide to the World.

Special Correspondent for the KGB . The Notes of an Intel Agent and Journalist.

The CIA vs. the KGB – The Art of Espionage (Dulles)

The New Destroyers. The CIA and Perestroika (Rem Krasilnikov – died not too long ago – he, like many of his background think that Perestroika was a CIA plot against their country…)

Noon of the Magicians. The Restructuring of the World by the Occult (sounds right up your alley).

Communism Zen Fire and Zen Wind

All of Solzhenitsyn’s works

Tons of books on conspiracies, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

So, put your money where your mouth is - get Golitsyn on board and I will bet you megamillions that he will be published there. We'll split the profits - that way you can keep your tin foil supply fresh.

By the way, ever hear of Posev Publishing???

And, if you think people can't be anti-Putin go to www.exile.ru (it's in English - it's disgusting - don't go there at work) These guys are very anti-Putin, anti-Bush, anti-communist, and let Eduard Limonov publish in their newspaper (Limonov calls repeatedly for Putin to be ousted and a National Bolshevik Party to be put in his place) and yet they still manage to get their visas renewed (most of them are Americans). They're not harrassed by the FSB, etc. However, when one of them tried to set up the same sort of newspaper/website in Buffalo, NY they were shut down. Explain that.
