The New York Times tries to slime Colombia, our brave ally in the war on terror. It's time to call them on their disgusting little game aimed ultimately at Bush.

The socialist mainline journal, the NYT will foreever be trying to slime AMERICA, not just Bush. It is the socialist agenda. And expect it to get worse before the REAL AMERICANS get tough with the socialists/communists in this country.
My roommate is from Colombia. I've talked with him many times about the situation there. This has been going on for many years, and thousands are killed each year. A good friend of his lost both of her parents to the insurgency. The guerillas demanded her father pay a tithe (though it was more like 25%), and he refused, basically told them "F.U.", and a few days later he looked outside to see his barn burning. As he stepped out of his door, he was filled with lead. Three years later (last year), the guerillas came back demanding money from the mother. She told them to go to Hell, you killed my husband. Shot her in front of her four children.
The situation over there is very serious. The populace of Colombia is largely against the insurgency, which is largely funded by blackmail, ransom, and cocaine money. I applaud Bush for his steps in the counter-insurgency.
