I wish I could say that I am a slivo neophyte but, alas, no! In fact I'm looking forward to a little domaca and a late night or two in Belgrade in May. I'll need to go; the domaca supply here at home is down to a swallow or two, and its Bulgarian (actually not too bad)! :(

The best and strongest Slivo is at a little roadside cafe/kafana south of leposavic, kosovo. It is on the right side, about 4 miles from town. Stop in and just say, 'slivo me'. His slivo looks like water, very very clear, the clearest I've ever seen. His is The BEST!

I still have one bottle remaining, so I have to pick up at least 3 more bottles next time around.
