Guardianship: A National and Local Disgrace
Justice for Florida Seniors ^ | 3-19-2005

If the public knew how horrible the abuse of the elderly is, there would be be articles everyday. Since we started this site, we're receiving articles and stories from everywhere.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

“The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference; the opposite of beauty is not ugliness, but indifference; the opposite of learning is not ignorance, but indifference; Hatred cannot be anything but evil. Hatred contaminates me. We cannot give in to hatred; To preserve humanity we must fight indifference.”

You are a target for Florida guardianship because you have assets. Even a modest amount. You don't necessarily have to be very old. You can even be quite lucid. That won't stop these predators. When it comes to removing your rights and your money, these folks are experts. It is a very rare and lucky individual who is able to regain their rights. Unfortunately, the process still removes most of their assets by guardian charges and attorney fees fighting to keep you in the gulag.

To avoid florida guardianship should be of paramount importance. Find out how to protect yourself and your loved ones with alternatives: health care surrogate, durable power of attorney, mediation and more. Consider that if you leave your parents to fend for themselves and ignore the deterioration associated with aging, a guardian can gain a guardianship over them and their assets, without informing you. That guardianship will nullify the most meticulous of plans.

Why won't Terri's "husband" just walk away from it all and leave her alone? Serious question. He has his own new life why can't he let her have her own life?
