AL-JAZEERA: The Inside Story of the Arab News Channel That Is Challenging the West
By Hugh Miles
Grove Press, 320 pages, $24
David T. Z. Mindich, the chair of the Journalism Department at Saint Michael's College, Vt., is the author of "Tuned Out: Why Americans Under 40 Don't Follow the News."
Al-Jazeera: all the news that gives infidels fits, we report!((((PING))))!
I'm more amazed Grove Press is still in business- the great house that brought us Henry Miller, Burroughs, Beckett, etc, etc.
The muslims are at war with us. We are supposed to expect them to say nice things? We are the ones dumb enough to do that.
"American bombs destroyed Al-Jazeera's Kabul office during the war in Afghanistan and its Baghdad office in the Iraq war, the latter attack killing a correspondent. Al-Jazeera believes these incidents were intentional."
