It really is worth reading this, because it makes the distinction between not forcing food to people, who in the terminal stages of an illness, vs. starving disabled people. (Nothing graphic, so don't skip it on that account)

it would be agonizing if you or I were locked in a room for two weeks and deprived of all food and water.

After just a few days without water, it seems like the only agonizing would be on the part of the poor sap who's tasked with removing the rotting corpse.
