FLORIDA: ASSAULT ON THE COURTS
These three articles summarize (warn about?) the insidious legislative attacks on the judiciary in this state. I want to comment further.
We saw LEGISLATIVE PREDATORS working on our judiciary during the special January legislative session for the DP Reform Act 2000, we saw it in this most recent session. The change in the wind is becoming stronger, more volatile, more dangerous, and potentially very harmful to the independence, impartiality, and integrity of our judicial system in Florida. [snip]
Sadly, the general public does not appreciate the esoterics of what we are seeing. We must speak out. We must preserve our strong and vigorous judiciary. If we allow the legal process and judiciary to be transformed (or forced?) into Bush's power house, stacked by legislators and judges favorable to Bush, we will see a conversion of both into engines of despotism, instruments of raw repression, discrimination, extermination, hate, elitism, power, oppression and racism. What then will we do about human rights, equal justice, and due process? [snip]

You can see the ACLU and AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL in Florida were busily supporting the judiciary, their favorite branch of government in 2000.
Koerner, of Amnesty International, attempts to prop up the courts by smearing Jeb Bush as a supporter of repression, discrimination, extermination, hate, elitism, power, oppression and racism. She describes legislators as predators.
There are three articles at that web page, which discuss their view of the power fight between the courts and Jeb Bush and the Legislature.

LOL.
Knowing what I've learned about Felos, I'd think those are conditions he causes, rather than conditions he tries to ameliorate.
"Power is the great evil with which we are contending. We have divided power between three branches of government and erected checks and balances to prevent abuse of power. However, where is the check on the power of the judiciary? If we fail to check the power of the judiciary, I predict that we will eventually live under judicial tyranny." -- Patrick Henry
"The Judiciary of the United States is the subtle corps of sappers and miners constantly working under ground to undermine the foundations of our confederated fabric." -- Thomas Jefferson
"What those guys said" --SeaBiscuit
When the faithless husband, Michael Schiavo, his "right-to-die" lawyer, George Felos, the ACLU and their political allies are celebrating Terri Schiavo's imminent death as a triumph for the Constitution and the separation of powers, it's time to turn to the Federalist Papers for proof that they are utterly wrong. In the Schiavo case, however, the judiciary is the ONLY dangerous branch of government.[snip]
It has grasped the sword it is not supposed to wield, figuratively speaking. [snip]
What an intelligent and far-seeing bunch of guys.
Having lived in Florida for many years I can state irrefutably that scam/con artists and crooked shyster lawyers love the climate and business opportunities there.
That graphic is what can be found in Yellow Page phonebook directories across the fruity plains under "Scumbags, Legal, Shyster".
Stay tuned - things are going to get much hotter for the executioners.
