Liberal Lunatic of the Day (4/18/2005)
Liberal Lunacy ^ | 4/18/2005 | Beckwith

Principal John DiIorio of South Windsor High School (Connecticut) sent home four high school students who wore T-shirts on which they had written, "Adam and Eve, Not Adam and Steve."  The students say their constitutional right to free speech has been violated.

The impetus for the T-shirts came earlier in the week, when gay students at the high school took part in the annual Day of Silence, a project orchestrated by the national Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network.  The gay students wore signs showing their support for legislation that would recognize civil unions for same-sex couples in Connecticut.

Students who oppose civil unions, wanted to make their feelings known.  "We felt if they could voice their opinions for it, we could voice our opinion against it.  There is another side to this debate, and we're representing it."

Principal DiIorio told the boys they could continue to wear the shirts as long as they didn't become a distraction to others.

The students returned to class.  But some students became "very emotional."  Diana Rosen, co-president of the school's Gay-Straight Alliance, said that when she first saw the shirts, she "almost didn't believe it."  She became very upset and spent most of the day crying in the administrators' and guidance counselor's offices.

DiIorio called the boys into the office and told them that other students were becoming "emotionally distraught."  He then asked the boys to remove the shirts.  They refused and DiIorio, caving in to the emotional blackmail of the gay students, sent the straight students home.

Does this sound familiar?  It should.  The same thing happened at Harvard University.  And the same liberal tactics worked.  If you don't agree with me and I can't get you silenced, I'm gonna get upset and throw a hissy fit.

When Larry Summers, President of Harvard suggested women have less "innate ability" at science and math than men, Nancy Hopkins, of MIT, walked out of the conference, saying, "that, had she not done so, she would have either blacked out or thrown up."

Even though Dr Summers statement was based on research, not his own opinions, Hopkins threw a hissy fit and the National Organization of Women (NOW) jumped right on the bandwagon and called for the Summer's resignation saying, "he has failed to lead the prominent university toward true inclusion of women."

Is this the state of feminism and the woman's movement in 2005?  If I don't get my way I'm gonna get emotional, cry or throw up.  This is nothing more than liberal totalitarianism.  It is a tactic that will put women's equality back a thousand years, but liberals will continue to use it because it works, especially on weak liberal males like Principal DiIorio.

This crying crap is nothing more than a weapon of intimidation.  When a liberal can't win the intellectual argument they go emotional.  The principal distinguishing characteristic of liberals and those on the left is emotion.  How they feel is how they think.  Reason is as foreign to a liberal as as an utter on a bull.

I'll take the average American woman who is a wife and mother, an astronaut, a soldier in battle gear, a corporate type or one of those crazy chicks on "Fear Factor," any day to these whiney, crying, puking liberal twits.  Liberal women suck!  They're ugly too.

I wonder if she would have gotten so upset if he had said males have less 'innate ability' to have a baby.

"She became very upset and spent most of the day crying in the administrators' and guidance counselor's offices."

So we've established that homosexuals are mentally and emotionally fragile. Fix the symptoms, counselors!

Diana Rosen needs to grow up.

Perhaps the solution is - use their tactics against them - when they have some kind of rally for whatever quack job leftist scheme they have thought up - get emotionally distressed - cry at work or school all day long - be deeply offended.

Beckwith,
Good post. I think I heard about it on Drudge, but you're providing more detail. My question is why do you need this organization in a high school? In a college ok, the kids are older and a little less naive. I hope some oragnization is there to back up these kids' free speech. The only thing that should be discussed in school about gays is that they exist (which the kids already know) and that it's wrong to bash them.

The parents of the students should hire a lawyer and Counter-Sue the crap out of Ms. Rosen and/or the school. Whichever is more vulnerable. For Free Speech Violations. My guess is that Ms. Rosen is far more vulnerable. Which would give her something to really cry about.

Jack.
