Don't know if your head has been in the sand good buddy, but the elderly population is about to go top heavy in our population over the next thirty years.

Massive amounts of funds will go to the government as they all die through the estate tax and that is GREAT NEWS!

We need to pass laws making them use the extra money for the national debt and SS, but the government will be swimming in money.

This is a great thing since the ones who made the debt and SS problems will be the ones paying the debt rather than leaving it to the unborn.

As far as those looking to inherit who won't get all the money, well let them get a job and earn it like everyone else.

I think the most LIBERAL thing we could do is to remove the estate tax and avoid paying for what we are responsible for.

It is the duty and responsibility of those living today to pay the debt and SS off. This is our responsibility and not that of future unborn generations.

It is NOT CONSERVATIVE to suggest pulling the estate tax when it will pass our our debt to others. How pathetic is that?

Reply to your #20:

Problem with that view is that the Death Tax does not raise any net funds to pay any of this stuff with--you may think the function of government is to transfer funds from one citizen to pay another citizen's bills--that's great, particularly if you are a transferee. You are entitled to your view.

But to argue that you are doing it with proceeds of the Death Tax is uninformed. Because after a real accounting for costs of collection, the Death Tax does not really raise any net proceeds to pay anything with.
