LA Times ^ | June 4, 2005 | Richard A. Serrano

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon late Friday confirmed five incidents of Koran desecration at the prison for detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, wrapping up a high-priority investigation.

The findings concluded that one soldier deliberately kicked the Muslim holy book, other guards hit it with water balloons, and a soldier's urine splashed on a prisoner and his Koran...more from LA TIMES IN LINK ----

Koran desecration at all time highs. Dilby.com reports that people are submitting video. This site "The Dilby News Monitor" also has a huge picture of a burned Koran for their frontpage today. I guess this has infuriated people and started a trend.

People are urinating and burning Korans. There's more in the article I believe if it's the correct one.

I think it's funny how the MSM's BS about this Koran thing has resulted in INCREASED disrespect for the stupid book.

The MSM needs to understand that they DO NOT speak for or to us. They scrape and apologize over the disrespect for the Book of Homocide, probably thinking it would get people mad at W. Instead Americans are joining in the fun.

The message is clear to the Muslim terrorists: We don't give a crap about you and your stupid book.

Cray I didn't get the correct LA Times article, I'll get it later on today but it was reporting the same things as The Dilby News Monitor - Dilby.com I know they're not a reputable source, but they were reporting it also and I saw a LA Times article about it. I'll find the correct article and post it again.

Dozens of Korans were likely destroyed by al-Qaeda during a recent Mosque bombing.
Al-Qaeda suspected of mosque bombing
A suspected al-Qaeda suicide bomber walked into a mosque in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar during the funeral of a Muslim cleric and blew himself up, killing 20 people and wounding at least 42 others.

When someone says boo to these Muslims who burn the American flag & decapitate people on National TV, let me know. The Koran is THEIR book and that is all it is....and it's full of hate for Christians and Jews and ALL non-Muslims. Respect works two ways.

Let's understand what mishandling means. Under the rules the Pentagon later instituted at Guantanamo, proper handling of the Koran means using two hands and wearing gloves when touching it. Which means that if any guard held the Koran with one hand or had neglected to put on gloves, this would be considered mishandling. On the scale of human crimes, where, say, 10 is the killing of 2,973 innocent people in one day and 0 is jaywalking, this ranks as perhaps a 0.01.

I think I'm gonna set up a website:

www.DesecrateTheKoran.com

Each morning I'll post another pic of the Mooselimb "Holy Book" being rightfully defiled.

I've been tempted to buy a copy and do a little on-camera performance art myself. Or employing a realistic, classically inspired style, paint a rendering of Mohammad engaged in an unprintable act with a pig. I dismiss these thoughts as petty on my part--energy and time better spent doing something more productive, positive, and worthwhile artistically, but certainly understand the impulse. What gets me is that most of the westerners going on about the Koran abuse 'scandals' seem to be the same folks who defend blasphemy and sacrilege if it's done against Christianity. I also wonder if post-modernists like Serrano (of 'Pi** Christ' fame) truly have the courage of conviction to produce a work of art critical of Islam. Strongly doubt it.
