Your understanding was incorrect.
The problem is that the chip on the voting machine places a call to executable code on the memory card in order to generate the vote report.
The hack involves tweaking, replacing, or doing any number of malicious things to the code.
The problem is that the design itself violates federal law. The hack exploits the design. The design was intentional.
As I said, the technical report, due mid-June, will be the format where source code appears. Certainly not on a message board, nor in your email box. You'll get it the same time everyone else does.
Thank you for the list you provided. Several of those items will also be provided in the technical report. About 10 days from now, watch for the report, then if you don't think you got enough code, you can complain.
